On December 19, 2014 in Victoria Olimp Hotel in Minsk took place a forum “Improving energy efficiency and reducing the environmental impact of food and processing industry” organised by IEC Energy Company. The event was linked to the launch of the mini co-generation and boilers plant at Kalinkovichi Dairy Plant within the project implemented by IEC Energy Company. A representative of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, Deputy Head of Technical Innovation, Energy and Technical Supervision Directorate Mr. Leonid Poleschuk, opened the forum. He delivered a welcome to the forum from the First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Mr. Leonid Marinich. In addition to representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, Ministry of Energy and other authorities and educational institutions, also over 140 companies’ representatives were present from all regions of Belarus. At the forum companies TES DKM Group and its partners – MTU Onsite Energy GmbH. and Wehrle Umwelt GmbH. were presented, which offer state of the art technologies in energy supply, such as co-generation units and biogas production plants, as well as in treatment of wastewaters. A detailed presentation of the project at Kalinkovichi Dairy Plant was delivered, as well as the way the project was financed and organised. BelSEFF Project Manager, Vassily Tarasevich (KPMG in Belarus), presented at the forum the financing possibilities under the BelSEFF. An example of the successful implementation of the project financed within the BelSEFF is the Kalinkovichi Dairy Plant. The project of boiler and combined heat and power production plant installation for dairy production replaced the energy supply from the old municipal heat only boiler plant. The project has a positive economic and environmental impact and will be fully repaid from energy cost savings. Photos from the forum: |
