IV. Belarusian-German Energy Forum

On 25 November 2015 the IV. Belarusian-German Energy Forum took place in Minsk. It was organized by the Delegation of German economy in the Republic of Belarus with the assistance of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy of Germany. The partners of the event were the German Energy Agency, the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Belarus, the Energy Efficiency Department of the State Committee for Standardization of the Republic of Belarus and Belarusian State Energy company Belenergo.

The forum brought together about 200 participants: representatives of Belarussian and German companies, authorities and universities. Representatives of projects financed under EBRD's Belarus Sustainable Energy Finance Facility (BelSEFF) and prospective BelSEFF projects also participated in the event. BelSEFF implementation team was represented on the event by the Project Manager – Mr. Vassily Tarasevich.

The key elements of the event were two parallel sections with experts' participation and a plenary session. The experts presented the conditions and the prospects of cooperation between Belarus and Germany in the energy sector. Additionally, sharing best practices was proposed on topics like energy systems and renewable energy sources, including their use in buildings.
